The countdown has begun for the fourth edition of the All Stars Unity Cup, one of Lagos’ leading veterans’ football tournaments, as organizers have confirmed that the 2026 championship will take place from August 8 to September 5, 2026, at the Agidingbi Senior Grammar School Football Pitch, Ikeja.
This year’s competition will feature 12 veteran football clubs battling for honours over five consecutive Saturdays in a revamped tournament format designed to increase competitiveness and provide exciting football for players and fans alike.
According to the Planning Committee, the new structure is aimed at raising the standard of the competition while promoting friendship, healthy living, sportsmanship, and unity among veteran footballers.
Tournament Format
The competition will feature:
12 teams
Four groups of three teams each
Four matches on each of the opening three matchdays
Only the winners of each group will progress to the semi-finals
No quarter-final stage
Two semi-final matches on August 29
Grand Final on September 5

Speaking ahead of the tournament, Chairman of the Planning Committee, Ashibuogwu Kingsley Afam, reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to delivering another professionally organized championship that upholds the values of excellence, discipline, fair play, and sportsmanship.
He noted that beyond the competition, the All Stars Unity Cup has become an avenue for fostering stronger relationships among veteran football clubs, encouraging physical fitness, promoting community integration, and providing quality football entertainment.
“The All Stars Unity Cup has continued to grow in stature with each edition. Season 4.0 will build on that legacy by offering an improved competition format that guarantees excitement from the opening match through to the grand finale.

The Planning Committee has extended an open invitation to football enthusiasts, media organizations, corporate partners, sports administrators, and the general public to support the competition throughout its five-week duration.
