The stage is set for the grand finale of the 2026 Bet9ja Foundation Ex-Internationals Cup, with FC Babington and FC Enegwea booking their places in the championship match after overcoming their semi-final opponents.
The tournament final will take place on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.
FC Babington secured their place in the final after a thrilling 2-2 draw against FC Alloy in the second leg of the semi-finals.
Despite the stalemate, Bode Babington’s side progressed with a 4-3 aggregate victory following a fiercely contested two-legged encounter.
In the other semi-final, FC Enegwea defeated FC Okpara 2-1 at Gospel City to complete a convincing 7-4 aggregate triumph.
Dan Azumi gave FC Enegwea an early lead in the seventh minute, heading home from a corner kick after FC Okpara’s defence failed to clear the danger.
FC Okpara responded just three minutes later when Dauda Taiwo finished from close range after another corner to level the scores at 1-1 on the day.
The decisive moment arrived in the 67th minute as Gani Olaniyan calmly converted a penalty after Ikechukwu Emma was brought down inside the box by Isaac Peter, sealing FC Enegwea’s place in the final.
The championship match will see FC Babington face FC Enegwea in what promises to be an exciting showdown between two of the tournament’s standout teams.
Before the final, the third-place match will feature FC Alloy against FC Okpara, with kick-off scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
The grand finale between FC Babington and FC Enegwea will begin at 3:30 p.m., both at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
