Odùduwà Football Club Unveils Landmark Three-Day Trial to Discover Future Stars
Odùduwà Football Club (OFC) has announced the maiden edition of its football trial programme, a career-building initiative designed to identify and nurture the next generation of talented footballers in Nigeria.
Tagged “Think You Have What It Takes?”, the three-day trial is the first of its kind by the club and offers young players an opportunity to showcase their talent before experienced football evaluators, with the possibility of launching their football careers.
The trial is scheduled to hold from August 20 to 22, 2026, at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. Activities will commence at 1:00 p.m. on the opening day (August 20), while proceedings on August 21 and 22 will begin at 9:00 a.m. each day.
Odùduwà Football Club is inviting talented male footballers between the ages of 16 and 19 to participate in the exercise. Interested players are required to present a valid means of identification showing their name and age. Participants are also expected to come with their football boots, football socks, football jersey and valid identification.
According to the organisers, all players will be assessed on the opening day, while only shortlisted players will proceed to the camping stage and continue the trial on the second and third days. Those who are not shortlisted after the first day’s assessment will exit the programme.
The initiative underscores the club’s commitment to youth football development and talent discovery, creating a pathway for promising players to pursue professional football careers.
