Sadiq Rilwan, Yusuf Fantami Fire Doma United Past Enyimba to Maintain Perfect NPFL Start
Sadiq Rilwan and Yusuf Fantami were on target as Doma United continued their impressive start to the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season with a 2-0 victory over Enyimba at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe, on Saturday.
Rilwan opened the scoring for the Savannah Tigers in the first half, continuing his remarkable goalscoring run at the start of the new campaign.
Fantami then added a second after the restart to put Doma United firmly in control and secure a third consecutive league victory for the newly promoted side.
The result keeps Doma United’s perfect record intact, with the Gombe-based club collecting nine points from their opening three matches.
Their campaign began with a 2-0 home victory over Sporting Lagos before Rilwan’s goal secured a 1-0 away win against Inter Lagos.
The forward has now scored in all three of Doma United’s league matches this season, underlining his importance to the team’s flying start.
Doma United have also impressed defensively, conceding just one goal across their three matches while scoring five.
For Enyimba, however, the defeat represents another setback in a difficult opening to the season.
The Aba giants have now lost both of their matches played, following their 2-1 defeat away to Niger Tornadoes on the opening weekend.
With Doma United sitting on nine points, the Savannah Tigers have quickly established themselves among the early pace-setters in the NPFL, while Rilwan’s goalscoring form has emerged as one of the biggest talking points of their perfect start.
