While Super Eagles Rest, Super Falcons Stars Fire on All Cylinders for Clubs

Several Super Falcons stars returned to club action across Europe, Saudi Arabia and the United States over the weekend, with Asisat Oshoala and Joy Omewa Ogochukwu among the Nigerian internationals who found the net.

The weekend fixtures offered Nigeria’s women internationals another opportunity to build momentum at club level, with Oshoala producing the standout performance in Saudi Arabia and Ogochukwu opening her scoring account in Sweden.

Oshoala Hits Brace in Al Hilal Rout

Asisat Oshoala led the Nigerian contingent in front of goal, scoring twice as Al Hilal Women recorded a commanding 6–0 victory over Al Taraji in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.

The experienced forward struck in the second half to complete her brace and underline her growing influence in Al Hilal’s attack.

Christy Ucheibe was also on target for Al Hilal, opening the scoring early before her Nigerian compatriot took centre stage with two goals.

The emphatic victory further highlighted the attacking depth available to Al Hilal, with Oshoala continuing to provide a significant goal threat in the Saudi competition.

Ogochukwu Opens Häcken Account

Joy Omewa Ogochukwu also enjoyed a memorable outing in Sweden, scoring her first goal for BK Häcken in their emphatic 6–0 victory over IFK Norrköping.

Ogochukwu was handed her first start for the Swedish club and responded by opening the scoring in the 19th minute, giving Häcken an early advantage.

The Nigerian forward completed the entire match as Häcken produced a dominant display to secure a comprehensive victory.

The goal represents an encouraging start to Ogochukwu’s latest chapter in Sweden and provides another positive development for the forward as she continues to establish herself at club level.

Oladipo Helps Roma Secure Victory

Shukurat Damilola Oladipo completed the full 90 minutes as AS Roma secured a 3–1 victory over Sassuolo in the Italian Women’s Serie A.

The Nigerian defender was part of the Roma side that controlled the contest and returned from the fixture with three valuable points.

Rinsola Babajide was named among the substitutes but did not feature.

Nnadozie Starts as Brighton Fall

Chiamaka Nnadozie was in goal for the full 90 minutes as Brighton & Hove Albion suffered a 2–0 defeat to London City Lionesses in the Women’s Super League.

The Super Falcons goalkeeper was called upon several times during the contest but was unable to prevent Brighton from suffering another difficult result.

Nnadozie remains an important figure for both Brighton and Nigeria, with her club performances continuing to provide valuable competitive minutes ahead of the Super Falcons’ next international assignment.

Alozie Features Against Gotham

Michelle Alozie came on at half-time for Chicago Stars FC in their 3–1 defeat to Gotham FC in the NWSL.

The Nigerian defender was introduced after the interval as Chicago attempted to change the direction of the contest, but Gotham maintained control to secure the victory.

Alozie’s appearance added another 45 minutes of competitive football to her club campaign.

Gift Monday Unused as Spirit Lose Late

Gift Monday was an unused substitute as Washington Spirit suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat to Angel City FC at Audi Field.
