The Nigerian side will compete in Window 4 of the qualifiers from August 27 to 30, 2026, with all three Group E fixtures scheduled to take place at the Salle Multidisciplinaire de Radès in Tunis, Tunisia.

D’Tigers open their campaign against Cameroon on Thursday, August 27, before taking on South Sudan on Friday, August 28. Nigeria will conclude the qualification window with a clash against Cape Verde on Sunday, August 30.

Nigeria enters the second round carrying a 4-2 record from the opening phase of the qualifiers, level with Tunisia, South Sudan and Guinea in Group E.

Cameroon tops the standings with a 5-1 record, making the opening fixture a crucial contest in the race for World Cup qualification.

The qualification format awards Africa five places at the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup. The top two teams from Groups E and F, alongside the best third-placed team, will book their tickets to Qatar.

D’Tigers head into the August window with renewed confidence after an outstanding performance in the previous qualification phase, where they recorded victories over Tunisia (84-81), Guinea (80-79) and Rwanda (106-62) to revive their qualification hopes.
