Anthony Joshua vs Prenga Undercard Confirmed as Former Heavyweight Champion Returns After Car Crash

0

The full undercard has been confirmed for Anthony Joshua’s highly anticipated heavyweight return against Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with two world title fights set to headline the supporting bouts.

Joshua, a two-time former world heavyweight champion, will be making his first appearance since recovering from injuries sustained in a car crash.

The British-Nigerian star takes on Albanian knockout specialist Kristian Prenga in a fight that could pave the way for a long-awaited showdown with Tyson Fury, provided Fury defeats Mariusz Wach a day earlier.

The co-main event will see Hamzah Sheeraz make the first defence of his WBO super middleweight title against Germany’s Simon Zachenhuber.

Sheeraz claimed the vacant belt in May with a devastating second-round stoppage of Alem Begic and now begins his reign against the experienced challenger.

Another world championship bout on the card features Josh Kelly, who will defend his IBF super welterweight title against unbeaten Irish contender Caoimhin Agyarko.

Kelly captured the title earlier this year by defeating Bakhram Murtazaliev, while Agyarko enters the contest with a perfect 18-0 record.

The undercard also includes several rising talents and international prospects.

Japanese boxer Hayato Tsutsumi faces Alvino Herrera, Olympic champion Oleksandr Khyzhniak takes on Lenny Patrach, while Mikie Tallon meets Orlando Pino.

Saudi boxing prospects Mohammed Alakel and Ziyad Almaayouf are also scheduled to feature, adding local interest to the blockbuster event.

With Joshua aiming to reignite his heavyweight ambitions and move one step closer to a potential super-fight against Tyson Fury, the July 25 card promises an action-packed night featuring championship clashes and emerging boxing stars.
