Why We Sign Terem Moffi – Hamburg SV Sporting Director Krüger
Hamburger SV have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Terem Moffi from French club OGC Nice, with sporting director Kathleen Krüger backing the forward to strengthen the club’s attack.
The Bundesliga newcomers confirmed the permanent transfer of the 27-year-old striker as they continue preparations for the new season.
Krüger believes Moffi’s arrival will add greater quality and versatility to HSV’s attacking options, while his international experience could also benefit the club’s younger players.
“Terem fits our approach extremely well. With his signing, we are making ourselves even stronger and more versatile in the centre-forward position, thereby increasing the quality of our squad,” Krüger said.
The HSV sporting director also highlighted Moffi’s experience at the highest level and expressed confidence that the Nigerian will make a positive impact at the club.
“His career to date has given him extensive experience at a high international level, which he can also pass on to our young talents. We are delighted that Terem is at HSV and warmly welcome him.”
The Nigerian striker added that HSV’s rich history and global reputation also influenced his decision, recalling the excitement of his father when he learned about the club’s interest.
Moffi will now look to translate his experience into goals as HSV return to Germany’s top flight and begin their latest Bundesliga campaign.
