Phyna Knocks Out Nkechi Blessing, Calls Out Etinosa After ₦50m Victory
Phyna executed her plan to perfection, knocking out Nkechi Blessing in the fourth round to claim the ₦50 million prize and a brand-new car at Chaos in the Ring.
Nkechi appeared to be cruising through parts of the contest, connecting with occasional clean shots and seemingly dictating the pace. But Phyna insisted afterwards that her apparent restraint was deliberate.
“It’s a calculated plan to get her tired before the knockout. It was a trap, and she fell for it,” Phyna said after the fight.
The strategy paid off in spectacular fashion.
With Nkechi appearing increasingly vulnerable in the fourth round, Phyna unleashed a perfectly timed left hook that caught the actress clean and sent her crashing to the canvas.
Nkechi failed to beat the referee’s count, bringing the contest to an abrupt end and handing Phyna a dramatic knockout victory.
But Phyna was not finished.
Moments after celebrating her victory, she turned her attention to another celebrity boxer, Etinosa, calling her out for a potential showdown.
Etinosa immediately accepted the challenge, setting the stage for another potential female celebrity boxing clash.
Carter Efe Retains Celebrity Boxing Title
In the men’s celebrity bout, Carter Efe retained his title after defeating Akpi, Speed Darlington on unanimous points.
Carter Efe controlled the contest from the opening bell, dictating the action across all four rounds and consistently finding ways to impose his pace on his opponent.
After four rounds, the judges awarded Carter Efe a unanimous decision, allowing the defending champion to retain his title after a dominant performance.
The four-round contest provided a sharp contrast to the explosive finish in the Phyna–Nkechi Blessing fight, which ended with a knockout in the fourth round.
