Defending champions Edo Queens produced a ruthless attacking display to thrash Abia Angels 6-2 in one of the most entertaining games of the tournament so far.
Star forward Chioma Moses stole the spotlight with a sensational four-goal performance, further strengthening her status as one of the standout players of the competition.
Precious Oscar and Atume Doosuur also added their names to the scoresheet in the 53rd and 73rd minutes respectively.
Abia Angels fought hard despite the heavy defeat, with Mariam Abdulrasheed and Blessing Saleh getting consolation goals for their side.
The emphatic win moved Edo Queens to the top of the Super Six standings with six points and an impressive 10 goals scored in just three matches.
Elsewhere, Bayelsa Queens secured a valuable 2-1 victory over hosts Rivers Angels to boost their title ambitions, while FC Robo Queens reignited their campaign with a convincing 2-0 win against Nasarawa Amazons.
Opeyemi Ajakaye and Kemi Adegbuyi scored for Robo Queens as they claimed their first victory of the Super Six tournament and handed Nasarawa Amazons their first defeat of the playoffs.
After nine matches played in the competition, fans have witnessed 30 goals, underlining the attacking quality and competitiveness of this year’s edition.
