Ikorodu City Defeat Nasarawa United to Face Final Against El-Kanemi Warriors in President Federation Cup Final

Ikorodu City are through to the final of the 2026 President Federation Cup after overcoming Nasarawa United 4-2 on penalties following a thrilling 1-1 draw in regulation time.

The Lagos-based side showed resilience and composure under pressure to book a date with El-Kanemi Warriors in what promises to be an exciting final showdown.

Ikorodu City made a bright start to the semifinal and took the lead in the 11th minute through Ibrahim Ayola, whose well-taken finish rewarded their early dominance.

However, Nasarawa United fought back and found an equaliser four minutes before halftime when Bright Amadi struck to level the scores.

Although Wikki Tourists reduced the deficit through I. Bala’s penalty, El-Kanemi Warriors remained in control and comfortably saw out the game to secure their ticket to the final.

The stage is now set for a fascinating battle between Ikorodu City and El-Kanemi Warriors, two teams that have impressed throughout this year’s competition.
