Ikorodu City are through to the final of the 2026 President Federation Cup after overcoming Nasarawa United 4-2 on penalties following a thrilling 1-1 draw in regulation time.
The Lagos-based side showed resilience and composure under pressure to book a date with El-Kanemi Warriors in what promises to be an exciting final showdown.
Ikorodu City made a bright start to the semifinal and took the lead in the 11th minute through Ibrahim Ayola, whose well-taken finish rewarded their early dominance.
However, Nasarawa United fought back and found an equaliser four minutes before halftime when Bright Amadi struck to level the scores.
The second half saw both teams push for a winner, creating several opportunities in an entertaining contest.
Despite their efforts, neither side could find the breakthrough, sending the match into a decisive penalty shootout.

The Maiduguri-based side wasted no time asserting themselves, with Bashar Musa opening the scoring in the second minute. D. AbdulRahman doubled the lead in the 11th minute before I. Muktar capped a dominant first-half display with a third goal just before the break.
Although Wikki Tourists reduced the deficit through I. Bala’s penalty, El-Kanemi Warriors remained in control and comfortably saw out the game to secure their ticket to the final.
The stage is now set for a fascinating battle between Ikorodu City and El-Kanemi Warriors, two teams that have impressed throughout this year’s competition.
