Guardiola Gives Honest Assessment of Osimhen work Rate

Pep Guardiola has described Victor Osimhen as an “absolute monster”, praising the Nigerian striker’s relentless work rate, physical strength and ability to trouble opposition defenders.

The former Manchester City manager singled out the Galatasaray forward for his outstanding movement, attacking intensity and contribution to the team, stressing that his influence extends beyond scoring goals.

Guardiola was particularly impressed by Osimhen’s ability to put central defenders under sustained pressure, attack spaces intelligently and create problems for opponents through his tireless efforts.

“Osimhen. He is an absolute monster. The pressure he puts on the central defenders, the way he attacks the space, the work rate for the team — he creates so many problems even when he doesn’t score,” Guardiola said.

The Spanish tactician also highlighted the collective threat posed by Galatasaray when players of Osimhen’s quality combine effectively.

“When you have players of that calibre clicking together, Galatasaray becomes a dangerous, dangerous team for anyone in Europe,” he added.

Osimhen has continued to establish himself as a central figure in Galatasaray’s attack since joining the Turkish champions, combining his goalscoring instincts with physicality, intelligent movement and an aggressive pressing approach.

His ability to occupy defenders, stretch opposition backlines and create opportunities for teammates has made him an influential presence in European football.

Guardiola’s glowing assessment further highlights the growing international recognition of the Super Eagles striker, whose performances have strengthened his reputation as one of the continent’s leading attacking talents.

Osimhen will now look to maintain his impressive form as Galatasaray pursue their ambitions in domestic competitions and the UEFA Champions League.
