Bolaji Olamide Hits Hat-Trick as Al Shams Maintain Perfect Start in Saudi Arabia
Former Remo Stars Ladies attacker Bolaji Olamide continued her impressive start to life in Saudi Arabia, scoring a hat-trick and providing an assist as Al Shams Women defeated Eastern Flames Women 5-4 in a thrilling Saudi Women’s First Division League encounter.
Olamide delivered a commanding attacking performance against one of the division’s strong sides, playing a decisive role in Al Shams’ dramatic victory and earning the Player of the Match award.
The Nigerian forward’s three-goal haul takes her tally to five goals in three appearances for Al Shams since her move to Saudi Arabia.
The victory also maintained Al Shams’ perfect start to the 2026/27 campaign, giving them nine points from three matches and strengthening their position among the early promotion contenders.
Al Shams are competing in an eight-team First Division campaign, with each club scheduled to play 14 matches. The top three teams at the end of the season will secure promotion to the Saudi Women’s Premier League.
Olamide’s explosive form could prove crucial to Al Shams’ promotion ambitions. Having already contributed five goals in her first three outings, the former Remo Stars attacker has quickly emerged as one of the club’s key attacking players.
Her hat-trick against Eastern Flames represents her first three-goal performance since joining Al Shams and provides further evidence of the impact she is making in her new environment.
With 11 league matches still to play, Al Shams have made a perfect start, while Olamide has wasted little time establishing herself as a player to watch in the Saudi Women’s First Division.
