Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Doma United, have confirmed the appointment of experienced tactician Deji Ayeni as the club’s new Technical Adviser on a two-year contract.
The Savannah Tigers announced the appointment on Thursday as part of preparations for their return to the top flight ahead of the 2026/27 NPFL season.
Ayeni joins the Gombe-based club with a wealth of coaching experience in Nigerian football, having previously managed top-flight sides including Sunshine Stars, Akwa United, and Enyimba.
Doma United expressed confidence that the former Akwa United coach possesses the expertise and leadership qualities needed to guide the club through the challenges of competing in the NPFL.
The club believes Ayeni’s vast experience, tactical knowledge, and ability to build competitive teams will be crucial as they seek to establish themselves among Nigeria’s elite clubs.
After securing promotion to the NPFL, Doma United have wasted no time in strengthening their technical crew, with Ayeni’s appointment widely regarded as a major statement of intent ahead of the new campaign.
