Nigeria, Egypt Secure Spots at 2026 ITTF World Youth Championship
Nigeria and Egypt have booked their places at the highly anticipated 2026 ITTF World Youth Championships (WYC) in Istanbul, Turkey. Both nations emerged victorious in the team events during the recent Africa Youth Championships held in Accra.
Egypt’s U-15 boys and girls teams, alongside its U-19 girls’ squad, will proudly represent Africa at the global tournament scheduled for November 21–28. The Egyptian teams displayed exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the championships, solidifying their status as powerhouses in youth table tennis.
Nigeria’s U-19 boys’ team will also fly Africa’s flag, completing the continent’s representation at this prestigious event. The Nigerian team showcased resilience and determination, clinching their spot in Istanbul with a series of impressive performances.
This year’s championships mark a significant milestone for both countries, as they aim to elevate African table tennis on the world stage. Fans eagerly anticipate the matches, hoping for strong showings from both Egypt and Nigeria in Turkey.
