Jamal Musiala Suffers Second On-Field Collapse in Three Days
Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala suffered a second on-field collapse in three days after being forced off during a pre-season friendly against Heidenheim on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old Germany international had only recently entered the game when he fell to the turf, appearing dazed as medical personnel attended to him.
Musiala was subsequently helped from the pitch, raising further concerns after a similar incident during Bayern’s friendly against RB Leipzig on Saturday.
Following Tuesday’s match, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl said Musiala would address the situation publicly in the coming days.
“Jamal will speak about this in the near future. We knew about it, and we are aware of the situation,” Eberl said.
“He will speak out. He’s in the dressing room, getting changed and taking a shower.”
Musiala’s latest incident comes after he required medical attention during Saturday’s match against Leipzig in Munich.
The game was played in hot conditions, with temperatures rising above 30 degrees Celsius.
The midfielder missed the first six months of the 2025/26 season after suffering a broken ankle at the Club World Cup. He returned during the second half of the campaign and later represented Germany at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Bayern will now await Musiala’s comments and any further medical evaluation regarding the two incidents.
The club has not indicated that the midfielder has suffered a new injury as a result of Tuesday’s collapse.
