Ajilore: Team Nigeria Targets 2028 Olympic Ticket, CAVB Beach Volleyball Title
Team Nigeria Volleyball Coach, Kayode Ajilore, says Nigeria is targeting qualification for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games and victory at the 2026 CAVB Beach Volleyball Continental Cup in Alexandria, Egypt.
Nigeria is competing in both the men’s and women’s categories at the continental championship, with Ajilore confident that the teams can achieve the country’s objectives.
Speaking ahead of the competition, Ajilore said the Nigerian contingent travelled to Alexandria with clear ambitions of securing the Olympic ticket and winning the championship.
“We are here with our men and women team, and we are here to pick the Olympic ticket as well as win the Beach Volleyball Championship. We want to make our nation proud,” Ajilore said.
The 2026 CAVB Beach Volleyball Continental Cup is an important competition in Nigeria’s quest to secure a place at the 2028 Olympic Games, with the country looking to produce strong performances against the continent’s leading teams.
Ajilore and his players will hope to translate their preparations into results as Nigeria begins its campaign in Alexandria.
The coach also stressed the importance of representing Nigeria proudly, with both the men’s and women’s teams expected to give their best throughout the competition.
With an Olympic qualification spot and continental glory at stake, Nigeria will be aiming for a strong showing at the CAVB Beach Volleyball Continental Cup.
