Jessica Oji will lead a 15-athlete Team Nigeria contingent to the 2026 World Athletics U20 Championships in Oregon, sportsbeat.ng reports.
The prestigious championships will hold from August 5 to 9 at Hayward Field, University of Oregon.
More than 1,700 athletes from nearly 200 countries expected to compete for global honours.
Nigeria’s squad features a promising mix of sprint talents, relay specialists and field-event contenders, with Ezechukwu handed multiple assignments in the women’s sprints.
The talented youngster will compete in the women’s 100m and 200m, while also featuring in the 4x100m relay.
Commonwealth Games Silver medalist Jessica Oji will carry Nigeria’s hopes in the shot put and discus throw.
On the men’s side, Gift Bright will compete in both the 100m and 200m and is also listed for the 4x100m relay.
He will be joined in the 100m and relay by Tejiri Godwin, while Perfect Faye will contest the 200m and relay.
David Udoh will compete in the men’s 400m and 4x100m relay, with Precious Opinion combining the triple jump with relay duties.
